Godfried Gyechie

Godfried Gyechie is a Lewisham Borough Councillor representing Blackheath Ward. He is of Ghanain and Guyanese parentage Godfried attended Queens College Taunton Somerset He stood as one of the three Liberal Democrat candidates at the 2006 local elections and unseated the Labour Deputy Mayor . He is proud to not only be one of the first Liberal Democrat councillors, but first councillor of African decent to represent Blackheath Ward and the first Black Ethnic minority Liberal Democrat to be elected in the Borough of Lewisham.
